Benefits of Evernote

One thing I liked about Evernote was it was easy to takes notes in. You didn’t need paper if u had an app like this. This helps students stay organized. There isn’t a possibility to lose whatever you working on. Also if you didn’t like taking notes you could record what was being said. Later you could play this to yourself instead of reading notes. This ability gives the student more time to listen. That lessens the possibility of the student from not hearing something because of concentrating on writing done the last thing that was said before.

I could only find one limitation/problem with Evernote. Evernote is not available for students without proper technology. The stuff students do in Evernote is useless if they have no access to a computer or other equipment. The activities did are useless if the student get to them. A student cant rely on Evernote knowing they cant get to it in certain environments. This person would be better off with paper. This allows them to have the info they need. They can have paper any and everywhere.

I have one suggestion for Evernote. My suggestion is that you should be able to connect with other users. Two users should be able to share files with one another if they choose to. Other then that the app is great. Using this app has many advantages. It helps a lot for school. I also use this app for raps. It keeps me from losing raps. It also keeps my raps organized.

Benefits of iPads

There were many benefits to having iPads in class. One was the ability to start the assignment we were doing immediately. There was no need to pull out pen or paper. The iPads were ready to use as soon as you got into class, so by the time the bell rung you should have an iPad on your desk ready to work. Another was the saving of resources. We rarely needed paper or pencil throughout the year. This left us more materials to use for other classes. This saves money for students from buying more supplies.

They were few problems with having ipads in class. One was the distraction they cause. Students can now roam the Internet for things not important. This causes the student not to pay attention. Another problem is the access to sparknotes. Instead of answering questions with their own thoughts, students use sparknotes. This prevents the teacher from seeing how some students think. Some students have good thoughts, and this prevents them from sharing them.

I think they school district should have more iPads. This helps the student get work done easier and faster. Some students don’t have the acquired technology to get work done at home. Having an iPad to take home saves these students time. They now wouldn’t have to go to the library just for an assignment. Also apps could widen the creativity of the students for certain projects. Another advantage of students having iPads to take home is the students having less things to carry home. Some workbooks are downloadable. This leaves them with the choice of carrying some heavy materials home.

Hole In the Wall

Students were vanishing from Grosse Pointe South High School and no one knew why. Everyone in the school felt like they were being watched. Everyone felt the intense stares, but the feeling couldn’t be explained. People watched their backs and couldn’t find the face of the person that was staring at them. The felt they were being watched from everywhere in the school. The awkward feeling was even felt from holes in the walls and vents. It all was confusing until one day.

On a Friday late after school Nick Fasten was sent to put something in a casing in the Clemson Hall. Nick was Medium Height with smooth dark black that slicked to the right and sat on his eyebrows. He was regularly built. While he walked to the Clemson through the halls of South High School he felt another feeling. Not only the feeling of being watched. The feeling made him look around in all directions with his eyebrows forced down causing his face to wrinkle and one side of his mouth to rise. While reaching for the he recognized the feeling. It was the confusing feeling of the sense that something was wrong.

He found out why he had the feeling when he opened the door. The door open now to reveal a sight he would never forget. A ghost palming the head of Nicks bully. The bully Devin panicking trying to escape the grip of the paranormal quickly turns silent and defenseless. Only after the quick twist the ghost did with his hands snapping his neck. Everything happening before Nick could even step a foot in. With his face showing his fear he quickly slammed the door. Not warning the people in the building he ran outside and called 911. He waited on the front lawn for the police to arrive.
Three policemen arrived to the scene. Bill ,Troy, and Malcolm Saden. Nick ran to the car before they even exited thier vehicles. He with fear in his voice he ecitedly explained what happened while running across the lawn to the clemson doors. They enter the doors with Nick running behind. The sight of no evidence upseted the police. They turned  around the as Nick entered the door. Nick confused by the greeting  of the mad faces of the policeman starts to look around. He sees that all the evidence is no longer present. The sight makes his jaw drop.
The cops walking away angryly say that he should never pull a prank like that again. Malcolm stayed back for a smoke. Nick trying to explain what happened to Malcolm but isnt getting feed back. Malcolm shoos him off and tells him to go home. Now alone a ccouple minutes standing in front of the clemson doors, he feels a deep stare from behind. He turns around looking in the condesed doors from the foggy night. A hole in the wall catches his eye. In it he sees a familiar eye. Concerned he calls in cops on  his dispatch. Tim Crayton and Nardon Vell reply saying they are on thier way.
They arrive greet each other and all walk in. Malcolm approaches the hole in looked in. In it was nothing but complete darkness. So they all left. Malcolm expierencing the feeling of depression from his son dying and his wife divorcing him goes home and get drunk. After drinking two bottlesof vodka his door bell rings. He opens it to see Nick asking to come in. He lets him in. Nick explains what happened earlier that day. Malcolm believes it but doesnt show. After the desriptive conversation he sends Nick home.
The conversation leaving him wondering he goes back to South High School.  After entering the clemson hall he looks around. After a look around he turns his attention to the hole. Once again he sees the familiar eye staring at him. The eye dissappears as soon as malcolm looks at it. Malcolm runs to the hole and looks in. Once again he sees nothing. While looking in he feels a breeze coming from behind. He also feels the famous stare everyone that enters the school feels. He turns around to see a trail of blood coming from outside leading to a dead  body. Over it a ghostly figure. He flees the scene and goesto his car. He calls the two cops Tim Crayton and Nardon Vell on dispatch and tell them the story.
They arrive and all run in. Only to see no evidence. Mad to see no evidence they tell Malcolm who looks mad and worried at the same time that he should go outside and get some fresh air. They both talk about how he was drunk and he probably left the door open and thought a cloud of fog that drifted in was a ghost. They still couldnt explain what he said about the dead body and the blood trail. A few minutes later Malcolm came in only to see the bodies of Tim and Nardon dead.
He once again runs back to his police car to call two more officers. They arrive to investigate the scene. While they search the two of them both see the eye in the wall. They break down the wall to witness bodies stacked wrapped in plastic to cover the smell. When they see this they turn to exit but pause at the sight of being surrounded by ghost. They all run to the trunk of thier cars to get gas, while running Malcolm once again sees the familiar eyes. They take the gas inside in pour it around the whole school. they light a match and quickly speed towards the exit. They stop at a long distance range on the lawn to watch it burn. Emerging from the flames are ghosts. Malcolm once again spots the familiar eyes but this time also the ghost behind them. They were his sons. His sons ghost runs towards him and then through him. Malcolm and the two policeman turn around to see his son and the other ghost dissappear one by one.
All three of them left the burning school and met up at malcolms house. They discussed the memorable day. They made an allaby for the burning school so they wouldnt be arrested. They all promised that the day would never be discussed again. The two cops left with a blank face leaving Malcolm wih the same face expression.

Poe

Edgar Poe made sure people died in his story no matter how or why.
Edgar Poe is very interested in the concept of death. In many of his stories the concept of death is present. Death is present in the majority of his stories. He didn’t care how or why people in his story died. Edgar Poe’s obsession showed from these stories. He doesn’t care how or why they die; he just cares about the death part. He gets most descriptive when someone is dying, dead, or about to die.

The Masque of the Red Death is an example of him expressing his love for death. The party they were having was already for death. They were having this party to forget about the people dying around them. The short story was about the Black Death. This disease killed many. This story also proves he is obsessed with death because “There was a sharp cry-and the dagger dropped gleaming upon the sable carpet, upon which, instantly afterwards, fell prostrate in death the Prince Prospero” (The Masque of the Red Death). The fact that he fell to death for no reason shows that he doesn’t care how or why someone dies in the story, people just have to die. Another example is that Black Death came in the form of human and died causing a domino effect of death shows Edgar Poe is obsessed with death.

The Tell-Tale Heart also shows the interest Edgar Poe has for Death. The narrator killed a man that did nothing wrong to him. “Whenever it fell upon me, my blood ran cold; and so by degrees—very gradually—I made up my mind to take the life of the old man, and thus rid myself of the eye forever” (The Tell-Tale Heart). The narrator killed the old man simply because of his eye color. Once again showing Edgar doesn’t care why or how someone dies in his story, but it has to happen. The narrator even stated, “I loved the old man. He had never wronged me. He had never given me insult. For his gold I had no desire. I think it was his eye” (The Tell-Tale Heart). The narrator even said it was just because his eye.

The Fall of the House of Usher also is an example. Rodwerick died just because of the fear he gained from his sister attacking him. It is really rare for someone to die from fear. Another reason is because the house fell for no reason killing everyone that was inside except for the narrator who escaped. He shows how he doesn’t care how people die in his stories with this story. The house fell for no reason. It is not possible for a house to fall for no reason.

Edgar Poe was very obsessed with death. No matter how or why it happened. He expressed his death obsession in his stories. He got most descriptive when describing how or why someone died. Edgar loved the concept of death. The majority of his stories led to death. Death is one thing that makes his stories interesting. Edgar Poe made sure people died in his story no matter how or why.

Behind Closed Doors

Thomas Williams had a personality no one could understand. He never spoke unless spoken to unless in a good mood. He only left the house to shop go to work or go to shop. The only time people saw his wife Debra and his daughter Elizabeth was at church. They never answered the door at the home not even when Thomas was gone. Elizabeth never had friends, came outside, or had friends. Elizabeth was home-schooled after she was done with 3rd grade. Everybody wondered why a parent would take their child out of school for no reason.

His wife Debra left her job a while before Elizabeth was took out of school. She didn’t answer the door either. The fact that she was an adult in the house and never answered the door bothered people. Another thing that bothered people is that she quit her job out of the blue for no reason. Debra was mysterious to the community they lived in. After a couple weeks of quitting her job she start wearing clothing that covered her body. People realized that everyone in this house was getting stranger and stranger everyday. Only Thomas lived somewhat a regular life out of their family.

They didn’t see anything that happened behind the closed doors of the Williams home. Thomas had a sick mind. He beat Debra every once in a while. This was the reason she start wearing the long clothing. She had to cover the bruises he left. Her beatings were also the reason she had to quit her job and were not allowed to leave the house. Thomas didn’t want her to tell. Thomas got more and more un-attracted to his wife every beating. His solution to his problem was to start raping his daughter. The reason she couldn’t go to school or leave the house.

Thomas locked his wife and daughter in a room to keep them from leaving and telling. Until one day they both put up a fight. The wife slapped and scratched and pushed at his attempt to locking tem in a room. The daughter joined in biting and kicking. Debra pushed him in the just as soon as Elizabeth kicked him in the back of the knee causing him to fall backwards causing the keys to fall out his hand from the impact from hitting the floor. They picked up the keys ran out the house and took the car.

Thomas paced from nervousness of the situation. He sat down and rocked confused and panicking. He did this until he fell asleep. He dreamed of the devil. Looking eye to eye with Lucifer, the eyes blood red. His eyesight zoomed out to show Satans whole body. The body of him was skinny but tone. Hair grew from the indent from the middle of his Pecs. His face owned busy eyebrows and a nose that stood out in a profile view. Two sharp teeth that showed even when his mouth was closed. Ears that had a point. A reddish but human body that resembled someone with a bad tan. Shaggy hair that ended at the length where his chin stopped. He wore a sheet of clothing that covered his private area only.

Thomas asked if there was any way the devil could help him if he sold his soul. The devil said in return for his soul he won’t be caught by the cops. The Devil pulled out a sheet of paper from thin air for Thomas to sign. The sheet was a contract to authorize their agreement. Thomas signed it and woke up. He then got up and packed he took his hidden spare keys and car and left town. He found out he had a bounty on his head but didn’t worry. He settled in Ohio and started a regular life. He didn’t worry because of the agreement he had with Satan. One day at work he was recognized by a regular civilian from a wanted poster. This person got the materials he needed to take him the next day. The next day he came in and tackled Thomas and put him in cuffs and turned him in. Thomas fell asleep in his cell and once again there was the devil. Thomas asked what happened to their agreement and the Devil said he said Thomas wouldn’t get caught by the cops but didn’t say anything about him getting caught by a civilian. Then the devil ripped out his heart in the dream and Thomas never woke up.

Huck Finn Romeo and Juliet comparison

Mark Twain hated the romantics. Mark Twain showed this by making fun of Romeo and Juliet. The Grangerford and the Shepherdson fued was a part of the humor. This was a parody of the Capulets and the Montagues. He humor the fact that the Capulets and the Montagues don't know why they are feuding."Oh, yes, pa knows, I reckon, and some of the other old people; but they don't know now what the row was about in the first place" (Twain 110). Thats what buck stated after Huck asked about how the Grangerford and Shepherdson feud started. This resembles Romeo and Juliet because no one really knew why the Montagues and Capulets were fueding.

The fued is unessasarily serious. The allusion of this chapter shows the intensity of the feud. "I cried a little when I was covering up Buck's have for he was mighty good to me" (Twain 117). This shows how the famillies don't care. Buck was at a young age when he was murdered. This represents how they mean business because they are killing young people. This also shows Huck maturing. Huck never really cared for anyone, now he's showing his emotions for Buck.

Its sad that these characters had to run away to pursue thier love. The lovers in the two of these books secretly set up there marriage. The lovers in both stories both made plans so they could marry. In Huck Finn, Huck unknowingly set up Sophia's marriage. In Romeo and juliet, Juliet planned to act dead so she could leave unnoticed. Also in Romeo and Juliet they both planned to leave and get married. In Huck Finn Sophia and the Shepherdson planned to leave and get married and were successful. The difference is that in Romeo and Juliet the lovers dramatically die. In the novel Huck Finn the they all manage to survive. All of this just to get married shows the seriousness in the feud.

Nirvana Could Exist

1.       The unaccepted will come.
2.       People can get their point across
3.       It’ safe.
Nirvana would never succeed.  It’s impossible for this island to exist. No one would care for this island because you could do what you do here anywhere else. People will go to Nirvana and just do the same thing they did wherever they came from. They wouldn’t be able to stop judging. People will come from the wrong reasons.  They will come for other  things and not the lifestyle which they are supposed to come for.
Many people that feel accepted will come. These people will feel like this is a place where they won’t be judged. They will fill the desire to come here so they can live freely.  Homosexuals would come because they get judged every so they would want somewhere that would end. Transsexual’s would go because they felt they were in the wrong body and don’t want to be looked down on because so. Those who strongly feel different, also known as weird will come. They want to live the life to choose without being put in a social class. People who study religions that cause people to look at them will come. They will feel more comfortable because they won’t get stared at or put under a stereotype.
People who want to get ideas out will also desire to live in Nirvana. It would be easier to get things started. Since people can’t really judge your ideas, as long as it makes since and you are able to make it possible the idea should be successful.  Also people will get a better chance to fame because of the same reason. This will also work as promotion. People could be seen for a while and if he/she doesn’t get the response they want they could try something new.
Parents or soon to be or plan to be parents would come to Nirvana. They would be pleased with the safety of their family and kids. They would know their kids were safe. They wouldn’t have to worry about any danger. This island is a good place for kids to grow up. Parents would want their kids growing up not being judged, or judging others. They will also growing up expressing themselves. Kids will grow up to get a good chance to be whatever they strive for.
Nirvana could be possible. It provides reasons for many people to come. These reasons will appeal to many people in many places.
