Nirvana Could Exist

1.       The unaccepted will come.

2.       People can get their point across

3.       It’ safe.

Nirvana would never succeed.  It’s impossible for this island to exist. No one would care for this island because you could do what you do here anywhere else. People will go to Nirvana and just do the same thing they did wherever they came from. They wouldn’t be able to stop judging. People will come from the wrong reasons.  They will come for other  things and not the lifestyle which they are supposed to come for.

Many people that feel accepted will come. These people will feel like this is a place where they won’t be judged. They will fill the desire to come here so they can live freely.  Homosexuals would come because they get judged every so they would want somewhere that would end. Transsexual’s would go because they felt they were in the wrong body and don’t want to be looked down on because so. Those who strongly feel different, also known as weird will come. They want to live the life to choose without being put in a social class. People who study religions that cause people to look at them will come. They will feel more comfortable because they won’t get stared at or put under a stereotype.

                People who want to get ideas out will also desire to live in Nirvana. It would be easier to get things started. Since people can’t really judge your ideas, as long as it makes since and you are able to make it possible the idea should be successful.  Also people will get a better chance to fame because of the same reason. This will also work as promotion. People could be seen for a while and if he/she doesn’t get the response they want they could try something new.

                Parents or soon to be or plan to be parents would come to Nirvana. They would be pleased with the safety of their family and kids. They would know their kids were safe. They wouldn’t have to worry about any danger. This island is a good place for kids to grow up. Parents would want their kids growing up not being judged, or judging others. They will also growing up expressing themselves. Kids will grow up to get a good chance to be whatever they strive for.

                Nirvana could be possible. It provides reasons for many people to come. These reasons will appeal to many people in many places.

               

Nonconformists

There are good outcomes for nonconformist. In the world of nonconformists there are also bad consequences. Nonconformists should be listened to. People could learn many different ways of doing things. People will understand others better if they listen to nonconformists. Family should accept nonconformists no matter if they are gay, straight, or weird. Nonconformists are misunderstood all the time.

            They life of a nonconformist is good but has many bad consequences. Many people will not agree with what the person does. If this person is unaccepted he/she might not care. Although he/she might not care they will miss out on many experiences. This person will be somewhat lonely because people will not want to hang with this person. Also it will be hard for this person to find somewhere to work. This means the person will have a hard time paying expenses. This person will also have a person will also have a hard time fitting in with his family. They might have a problem with how this person is or how he acts. Many nonconformists are misunderstood and need to be listened to. People can learn many things and understand more if they just listen.

Modern Day Transcendentalist

                Kanye west is a modern day transcendentalist. Kanye west is a much disliked artist of many people. This is because he really doesn’t care what people think. He says and does whatever he wants. If he doesn’t like something or someone he doesn’t have a problem showing it. For example in a interview with Matt Lauer he stated “President Bush doesn’t care about black people.” He stated what he thought about George Bush on television without even caring because it was his thoughts.

                Kanye west also has his own fashion style. He wears what he wants when he wants. He is highly talked about because he doesn’t wear the same clothes as others. He is talked about for wearing pink and is labeled as a back pack. A back pack rapper is a category no artist wants to be in. This category means he only raps about what he owns. He is also talked about the skinny jeans he wears. Many people call him gay. There was a South Park episode making fun of him with a song called gay fish. Although people talk about him he still wears these things proudly not caring.

                This artist is known for not caring what anyone thinks. If he doesn’t agree what something he is not scared to show it. He is known to be called a jerk by many people. This title came from a MTV event.   When Taylor Swift was accepting award for the best video he came and interrupted saying he thought Beyonce deserved it.  He proudly came on stage and interrupted the whole event to let people know he didn’t agree with this. Many people lost respect for Kanye West after this.

Progress

Progress is both good and bad. The process of progress will always have both good and bad consequences. There is never one outcome of good and bad for progress. They are both always together in the world of progress. A progress meant for good can go bad. A progress that is bad can go good.

            Progress is good in many ways. Technology progress helps to keep people healthy. Many things in the hospital help to see what the human eye cant to help a patient. Technology progress also helps the economy. Many of these inventions need to be fixed or controlled by someone. This is opening new jobs for the people to make money. There was also progress in transportation. This is helpful to get us places faster for important things. Regular cars which did bad to the environment led to hybrid cars which helps the environment.

             Progress also has bad outcomes. Technology is being more interesting every day. This generation is getting more lazy and un-active with every enhancement. People lose track of how much they are sending with things like phones, game consoles, computers, etc. Another bad thing is that these products are made in factories. These factories are polluting the air constantly. Some products are made from natural resources, so we cut down many tress and others things down to make products.

            Progress is never just a good or bad thing. A progress can be bad but lead to something good. For example a re-cycling machine can be made in a factory that pollutes the air but the machine is going to help the environment. Progress could also be good but lead to bad. For example technology can help get things down quick and easy but leads to people becoming un-active because the fascination in the device. This is why progress is both good and bad.

Declaration of Student Rights

          All students attending Grosse Pointe South High School have certain unalienable rights that cannot and will not be encroached on by the superiority at South.  As the attending students of South High School, we declare changes to some unjust regulations that conflict with the rights of every student that, exclusion from foreign taxes, the right to defy regulations if deemed unfair, Students ought to have the right to enter school after hours if just cause is presented, and the freedom of choice that cannot be interfered with. Included in these that must be changed are:  Dance regulations, Credit requirements, Parking payments, Limited access to the building, Memorization techniques, Lunch limitations, superiority mindset of some students, School Store hours, restriction of the student body president and limited passing time. We find these laws to be unjust and unfit for South High School Students.  All of these mentioned have been found to have no positive impact on the student body, and are proven to cause more stress. To maintain positive structure among South High school students, we declare the immediate adjustments to certain regulations.  

     I.        Dance regulations: He has disallowed leaving dances early, leaving us to wait whether or not it is important reasons or not. This has become an issue on all students’ minds; if a student had paid for the ticket and you have arrived late for some reason then students should be allowed access with proper identification. Once inside the dance students should have the right to leave when they please. This regulation has caused many students to have distain for the school, and should be immediately abolished.

  II.        He has enforced class credits for graduation making the students choices limited. Students should have the right to decide whether or not they want to take art or other enforced credits. Making certain classes required for credits is impeding student’s freedom of choice limiting them more than it should. This regulation is hated among the student masses and should be abolished.

III.        He has enforced that parking needs to be paid in between classes. Parking regulations causes stress among students and limits their freedom as students of Grosse Pointe South. During school hours there should be a pass to allow students be free of improper fees. It forces the students to pay with their hard earned money in very unfair ways.  This regulation does not contribute to the students well being, wealth, or academic focus.

IV.        He has closed all doors after school hours, not allowing students to enter for any reason. Closing all doors after schools hours has made it difficult for student to access their locker causing stress and anxiety. Students should have the right to enter the school for any just reason, with proper identification. This regulation does not have any positive influence or results on students.

   V.        He has banned recording of lectures and certain laws for student memorization. Banning of recordings has negatively students making many classes with many notes difficult. This has limited some students who study using repetition but since recorders are not permitted those students are subject to difficulty. This regulation is unfair, and interferes with the abilities of students.

VI.        He has made lunch limited to only lunch rooms instead of freedom to eat anywhere. Many times students have been told to eat somewhere else because of danger messes. Many students cannot find anywhere else to sit especially if they had gotten their lunch late.

VII.        He has promoted peoples above the domain of the common student. Many students have been put above others in seemingly aristocratic ways. Promoting others has created an unequal balance among students, making the masses separate.

VIII.        He has restricted the school store to only being open at lunch. The school store is a necessity among students here at South. Many rely on it for supplies and even food. With limiting it to be only open at lunch, it forces us to visit on when he wants not when we want. This regulation is unjust because it makes the students dependent on the time and place put forth by the superiority of South.

 IX.        He has restricted the authority of the student body president. Restricting the powers of the student’s president is reducing to power of students establishing a tyrannical rule. It limits the students say in matter reducing the idea of popular will. It is our school also we should have a say in what happens. This regulation is unjust because of its tyrannical nature.

   X.        He has restricted passing times from classes. Many students have just cause for being late, students may have been caught talking to a hall monitor, or have classes on the other side of the school. Many students are met upon arrival with tarides that are not deserved. This regulation is viewed unjust among the student populous for its oppression.

Without the courage of our founding fathers sending a letter to the king of England telling him we didn’t want to be controlled anymore, America wouldn’t be where it is today.  With the topics we chose to discuss, we are choosing to take our own stand against what we believe is needed to be changed to make South a better learning environment for its students.  So this is a letter of our own accord which we have constructed to illustrate the letter to the king of the popular will of the people.  It enforced change which we would also like to see with our own written letter. If you do not heed this warning then we the students will have no other choice then to boycott and to refuse to take part in classes. Until we are free from the grasps of South’s hierarchy, and if we are met with a militant response then we also will have a militant response. We hope that you accept to these terms and accept them because it is of popular will that we present these to you.

Crucible Epilogue

Elizabeth’s marriage didn’t last long. Elizabeth divorced not too long after the marriage. She could never get over the love she had for John. Elizabeth thought about john often every day. She visited his grave every week. Elizabeth wanted to meet John in heaven one day. Heaven was the only place where they could meet again and not be separated. She divorced so this special day wouldn’t be ruined. She didn’t want to meet John in heaven with another man.

Elizabeth loved her kids. They made her think of John all the time. They had the looks of him and the same personality. They grew up on the land their father owned and took care of it. They kept hate in them for those who cause their father’s death. Elizabeth loved that they had the leadership of their father. It made her smile seeing them work. She was proud to know her children would never be followers.

Mary felt bad after all the witch trials and craziness ended. She noticed she could’ve ended everything. If she developed leadership and independence she could’ve stop the whole thing. She noticed the day in court with John could have stopped Abby and the girls. She later visited Elizabeth to apologize for the death of John feeling like it was her fault. Mary was disgusted in herself. She heard of what Abby life was like. She was angry in herself for following someone who had become a prostitute.

 She promised to herself and God she would never follow another again. Mary found a man in her town she was interested in. A man named Arnold Handan. He was a really rich farmer that owned  many farms. The farms had many acres. They had three kids named Ellen, Sydney, and Joseph. She lived a happy life with him and married him.

Abby felt bad for all the problems she caused. She didn’t like the prostitute life she lived. She wished she never blamed Tituba and stood up to the interrogating Hale did. She realized how much would’ve been prevented if she did so.  She later wrote Elizabeth apologizing. She took responsibility for John’s death and the affair. She got pregnant from a day of work and had the nerve to name the boy after John. She tried to lead a new life. She didn’t want to have a son witness the job she was doing. The acting she did in court came in handy as an actress in plays. Her dramatic personality made the plays she was in realistic. She became the lead role in some plays.

She was one of the best actors in Boston. She took well care of her son. She wanted the best for her son. Abby figured that was the least she could do for him since he didn’t know his father. After good earnings from plays she quitted. She wanted to spend time with her son John. She devoted her life to her son. She treated him the best because it was right, and to honor John.   

Crucible Post

  Hale, Abby, and Mary had big responsibility for the witch trials. Many things they said or did had bad consequences in the witch trials.

  Abby was one person responsible for the witch trials. Abby gave many innocent names to be accussed of witchcraft. Abby also got a group of girls to confess and accuse others. Getting followers made it more believable because no one would say thier witches because they could be hurt or killed. Abby and the girls had acting skills that made situations seem real and dramatic. This helped her accuse people of witchcraft. She could act like people took over her body or faint.

  Mary had a piece of responsibility in the witch trials.  Mary was a follower. She didn't know who to protect. Mary didnt know who to stick with Abby or John. When she was in court she could have saved everyone if she could act to faint, but couldnt. Mary couldnt act under the pressuere like Abby. When Abby and the girls once again took control Mary decided to go to thier side again. If she stuck with him the whole thing couldve been solved.
 
  Hale was one of the biggest causes of the witch trials. He came to see what was wrong with Abby when she wasnt speaking but ended up interrogating her. If he didnt just do what he came to do much of this wouldve been prevented. This is because if he didnt do this Tituba and  Abby wouldnt have confessed and gave names. If Abby never confessed then all of this probably wouldnt have happened. Hale's interrogating on one person basically was the source of all the girls confessing.

  Hale, Abby, and Mary were parts of the witch trials. Thier actions and many things they said led to the witch trials. If they were pervented from doing these things many lives would have been spared. Lives of others would've been better for some others.

Crucible Post 2

  Many people lie to protect themselves. People sometimes lie to keep from being left out. Some protect thier feelings by lying. Others protect thier reputation with lies. I dont lie much, but truthfully i would lie to protect my reputation or myself. I dont lie to protect my feelings because i dont care what people say depending on who it is. I would lie to protect my family or anyone else close to me.
 
  I would lie to protect myself. No one wants to die. Even suicidals, they just think its the only thing left for them. I would lie to protect my family because it would hurt to know my family died because of something i said. But if I had a choice i would think of something that made since like goody proctor. Goody Proctor bascically said 'If you believe im a witch, then i believe in no such thing." I think that is clever because she is saying if you believe a nice christian like me is a witch, then i believe they dont exist. I like that statement because it most likely made the people around her think (for a few seconds).

  The power in this book is based off of fear. At the begining of act 1 John Proctor and his wife had the most power. Parris is loosing power over the people which is kind of his daughters fault. His daughter Abby is being accused of whichcraft. This effects him because at that time if you were accused of witchcraft you and your family could have everything tooken away. John Procter has much power because he gets to say whos a which and whos not. Goody Proctor has power because what she can have her husband do. Mary is a follower and will do anything to get close to someone. Mary gained power because she took the side of the younger girls leader Abby. Mercy has no power and is under control of Abby. Abby has control through fear because she theatens the girls to keep them under control. John Proctor has control through fear because he can get them killed and take everything they own by claiming they're a witch.

Sinners Follow Up Post

  Jonathan Edwards would not have many believers at his event. People in current time have grew up to a different story than Jonathan's. Many people in his crowd would have been inraged and left the sermon. People nowadays believe God only punishes the people who needs to be not anyone he chooses. God isn't upset and doesnt want to kill every human being. People would be confused on how he could say this. People attending this sermon would most likely think about going to a different church. Currently people think God is a friendly peaceful name. The people in this sermom would have offense to what Jonathan was saying.

  This is about a man named Jonathan Edwards. Jonathan Edwards was an all around good man. He was a loving father, faithful husband, and a good friend to the poor and distressed. Jonathan was highly misunderstood because of his beliefs. People that didnt know him thought he was an evil man. The things he said scared many people. They went into panic at the thought of what Jonathan was saying.
 
Jonathan probably said ones sins will ot go unpunished. If your lifestyle doesnt reach Gods standards you will burn in hell. If you dont live up to the rules of God you will perish. Jonathan most likely said when God is dissapointed in the human race he will exterminate them. The people of his town probably panic because of his. They wondered where would destination be hell or heaven. Many wondered if the things Jonathan said were true. The people of his town probably  went into panic not knowing if they sinned or not.

The streak of lightning resembles a white tree. At the side you see trees reaching to the sky begging for mercy from the lightning from striking them. The white clouds make it seems as though its the border from earth and heaven.The redish orange light from the sun is being absorbed in the sky. The darkish color from the cloud is mixing with the light of the sun giving the lower clouds a purple type color. Far away you can see the dark mountains. The sun resembles a eye pupil with the mountains below as a eyelid and the purple type color as the top eyelid, with the white cloud as the eyebrow. Up close u see the plants as though they're watching this act of nature as a play.

Student Expectations

  As a Grosse Pointe South student you have high expectations. Students are expected to be in class on time. Classmates should have good behavior. Students are also expected to turn in homework on time.

  As a student you should not be tardy to class. Coming in class late could distract other classmates. Tardies are also unacceptable because you can miss important information. Coming in late could also intterupt a teacher speaking. As a student you should avoid being late becauseit could get you in detention. To keep from being tardy avoid trouble with hall monitors. Another way to keep from being late stay out of conversations or shorten them.

  Students should have good behavior. To show this you shouldnt interrupt anyone with authority. Attending this school you should be respectful to everyone. Classmates should also do whatteachers say. Students should keep from distractin others. Dont speak when another is talking to show respect. Student should keep problems with others to them self to keep violence out the school.

 Attending South High School you should get homework done. Students should listen in class to understand the work given. Classmates are expected to remember thier work and when its due. When students are sick they should go to the school website to find the assignments they missed. Classmates should use time wisely to get work done. They should stay organized to avoid losing things important. Students should do thier best to keep up with all assignments from all classes.

I like to read at times. My favorite book is the series Cirgue Du Freak by Darren Shan. Im mostly into scary and mystery books.
  Im highly interested in art. My need to draw comes out occaisionally. I make rap music. I have a really diverse music taste. I like puting stuff together and fixing things.  My favorite subject is science. I dislike math and history. I have a bad time with history because of all the different people and events are hard to remember.
